Net Zero Lab organises conference with two other groups

Building Bridges Across Research Disciplines

It's been almost a month since our Common Ground Conference in early April, and ideas from those days still reverberate through our team discussions at Max Planck Net Zero Lab. The gathering brought together researchers from our lab with colleagues from Florian Egli's Public Policy for the Green Transition group and Julian Kölbel's research team in the peaceful setting of Raitenhaslach, a former Cistercian monastery.

The historic monastery provided more than just meeting spaces—its centuries-old walls and gardens created an atmosphere conducive to deeper thinking and connection. We were fortunate with beautiful spring weather that allowed us to take our conversations outdoors, enjoy some impromptu football matches between sessions, and share meals together in the courtyard.
