Net Zero Lab's Ben Probst to Join Expert Panel at Waldgipfel 2025

We're excited to announce that Ben Probst, Head of Net Zero Lab, will be participating in the upcoming Waldgipfel 2025 on July 31st at the Waldakademie in the Eifel!

Shaping a Livable Future Together

This year's Waldgipfel focuses on "Eine lebenswerte Zukunft gestalten" (Shaping a Livable Future), bringing together leading experts from business, science, and society to address some of our most pressing challenges. The program will tackle critical topics including:

  • Climate protection

  • Forest health and conditions

  • Public health

  • Sustainability communication

The Forest Compensation Debate

Ben will contribute his expertise to the panel discussion "Sind Wälder unsere Kompensationsdienstleister?" (Are Forests Our Compensation Service Providers?), a timely and crucial conversation about the role of forests in climate mitigation strategies and carbon offsetting initiatives.

A Platform for Impact

The Waldgipfel has proven to be a powerful platform for change, reaching millions of nature-enthusiastic people in previous years. This year's event, moderated by ARD journalist Eva Schulz, will be streamed publicly and free of charge, ensuring these important conversations reach audiences far beyond the intimate on-site gathering of speakers and invited guests.
